Dr Kim is a vocationally registered specialist dermatologist.

She grew up on the North Shore and graduated from The University of Auckland Medical School, then undertook specialist dermatology training in the Auckland and Waikato regions. She furthered her training with a dermatology fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London UK, where she subsequently worked as a locum consultant dermatologist before returning to New Zealand.

Dr Kim is currently a consultant dermatologist at Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Super Clinic, as well as in private practice. She is involved in the training of dermatology registrars and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland. She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the New Zealand Dermatological Society. Her special interests include skin cancer, skin surgery, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and general dermatology.
